Nikki Dawson

Principal: Mrs Nicola Dawson (Miss Nikki):
Nikki the Principle of The Village School of Dance & Drama completed her dance training at The Margaret Howard Theatre College, where she qualified as a dance teacher with the I.S.T.D. She began her dance training at Pinner Theatre Dance at the age of four and has 15 years teaching experience. She is also a Zumba Instructor.

She started work for a record label and at 19 was organizing tours at The Royal Albert Hall and across the country. She has also worked on the radio (BBC London, County 1035) and TV (Channel 5’s Milkshake, Gloria Hunniford’s Open House).

Nikki teaches a variety of styles including Tap, Modern/Jazz, Street Dance, Zumba, Musical Theatre and Ballet. She enjoys choreographing, performing and absolutely loves teaching. Nikki also enjoyed being part of  an adult tap festival group entering competitions and winning trophies all over the country!

She is keen to pass on her knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm to all her students and budding performers everywhere! 

Nikki's passion has always been teaching and it was a lifetime dream to own her own dance school.

On a personal level Nikki is married and has a daughter called Sienna who is a student of the school, and a son called Harry.

Rosie Hudson:
Rosie graduated from a 3 Year Musical Theatre Performance and Teacher Training course at The Margaret Howard Theatre College, where she achieved her teaching qualifications within the ISTD. 

Rosie has also worked as a Choreographer in New York, USA workshopping with Macy's on musicals (www.yesvirginiamusical.com) and actively teaching and choreographing for children on Broadway.

Rosie is particularly pleased to be teaching at The Village School of Dance and Drama and looks forward to the opportunities ahead. 


Marta Micallef:
Marta began her training at the age of 4 at Pinner Theatre Dance, where she was taught by Miss Nikki as a teenager. She is currently completing her ISTD teaching qualifications in ballet, tap and modern at the Margaret Howard Theatre School.  

Marta also holds a BAHons in Theatre Practice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. This has led her to work as a scenic artist on productions for West End Theatre’s like the London Coliseum and Noel Coward, as well as on overseas productions for New York and Shanghai. 

Marta is very pleased and excited to be working alongside Miss Nikki, and teaching at The Village School of Dance and Drama.


Aoife Hosford:
Aoife is a graduate from Margaret Howard Theatre College. She studied Musical Theatre and Performance and also completed her teaching qualifications, DDI and DDE, with the ISTD during her 3 years.

As a recent graduate she is very excited to be teaching at The Village School of Dance and is looking forward to passing on her knowledge, experience and passion for Dance to all the young enthusiastic performers.
